The three big RTW tickets are offered by the main airline alliances, One World, Star Alliance and Sky Team. For these you can choose to fly on any of the member airlines and each has different prices for the amount of of mileage incurred.
One World will give you the choice of American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Lan Chile, MALEV, Mexicana, Qantas and Royal Jordanian.
Star Alliance is larger and has as member airlines Adria, Aegean, ANA, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Air China, Asiana Airlines, Austrian, Blue 1, BMI, Brussels Air, Continental, Croatia Airlines, Egypt Air, Lot Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Shanghai Airlines, SAA, Spanair, Swiss, TAM, TAP, Thai, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways.
Sky Team is the smaller alliance and dominated by KLM and Air France and in the USA has Delta and Continental.
In addition a number of airlines have formed their own RTW ticket and a popular link up is Air New Zealand with Singapore Airlines. There are more like this and best found by talking to a travel agent.
These fares can be complicated to book and a service where a travel agent is most useful.
