This is always an issue where part of the family wants to ski and the rest not so keen. We suggest three to consider, Innsbruck, Breckenridge and Queenstown.

Innsbruck is a town with the ski resorts of Seefeld and Igls close by. An interesting town to walk around with many shops, cafes and other distractions. The Grassmayr Glockenmuseum is worth a visit and tells the story of bell making. The Goldenes Dachl is a three storey balcony built in 1500. To entertain the kids try the Alpenzoo.

Breckenbridge, Colorado in the USA is a gold mining town. For non-skiers there are shops, spas and the Speakeasy Theatre. There is even a roller coaster “The Gold Runner” that travels through forested tracks.

For those in the Southern Hemisphere Queenstown is an excellent choice. The town has lots to offer and has shops, night clubs, spas and walks below the snow line.
